TGIF! What a long week. I never want to look at another geothermal report again in my life. How did I of all people end up working in an area dealing with the environment and renewable energy. I'm probably at least 20% responsible for the current state of the ozone layer. Oh economics and finance how I miss you. No more complaining! Just think about how great that first end of the week drink will taste. Hmmmmmmmmm!

Coming Clean

Well now the truth has surfaced. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. Maybe lying isn't all that bad after all. Part of me wishes that I had never started digging for answers. I have no idea if I want to delve into the mind of the second individual after this experience. Maybe there are some things that should be left unknown.

LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE!

What motives do people have when they lie? There is quite a range as I have learned in the passed few days. Manipulation, self-preservation, and there are those who lie that have no motive whatsoever. I conducted some research this week and learned that pathological lying can stem from a number of disorders. Anti-social personality disorder was the one that was most fit to explain the actions of one individual. To find the motive behind the deceptive behavior of the other individual required no research. In this instance, it was purely for self-preservation. I have confronted one of these people, and the verdict is yet to be determined. The other is a little more difficult due to the circumstances as well as because this person's actions are clearly because of a disorder, whether it is anti-social personality or not. What both these individuals have in common is that they are both extremely bad liars considering they get more than enough practice.
